By the way, as far as I know, the founder of the contest can't enter as one of the participants, but you can enter your drawings as an example for the future enteries. In addition, you can advertise the contest in the "Advertising in Elftown" and "Drawing" forums....so more people will enter.

2004-10-26 [Skydancer]: A contest founder can do any thing they like, it is after all THEIR contest, not Elftowns. You just have to make sure your judges are impartial, I often use some of the guards and staff for instance for judges, or just ask 3 or 4 excellent artists that I know are on elftown but are not particularly part of my own circle of friends.

2004-11-13 [Skydancer]: Let me make this very clear, the person creating the contest can do anything they like. It would be reasonable if they had a poll or selected impartial judges to select the winners, but there is absolutely nothing in elftown that says you cannot enter your own contest. If I, as the Herald contest co ordinator, want to enter one of the herald contests, there is nothing at wrong with that. Only those that would cheat, tend to worry about others cheating.

2005-05-25 [Artsieladie]: Well, we have both...cats & dogs....We've had a variety of pets...guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, frogs, turtles, tropical & goldfish, rabbits, a pot-bellied pig, a goat, a rooster, ponies, & horses....prob
2005-06-25 [Artsieladie]: Now...I'm not sure if Royal Puddin's picture is ok here or not. This I did from an old photo that I had of Puddin', but it was so lacking in good color, so I brightened up the 'silver' in Puddin' & then I made an entire new background for him & added the frame. The before & after I'm going to post in my house, so it can be seen how I did it. If there is a problem with this entry, just tell me & I'll take it down. I don't want to break any rules! ^_^

These are Poodles.... They can seem similar until you put pic's of each side by side... ^_^

2005-07-21 [Artsieladie]: Actually, I like them both!!! :D Each are groomed in different ways, but when they can be groomed properly when they don't come in all matted & unkept, it's hard to decide which you would or could love the most!!! They both come out looking like you wanna "just squeeze 'em"! lol
2005-07-21 [Narnian Queen]: actually i prefer unprimped dogs. I like a nicely brushed poodle who doesnt have a weird haircut (i was suprised to learn there is a reason for it! and beddies look better with natural hair too.)
2005-07-22 [Artsieladie]: Me. too...but, unfortunately, most people that I know, don't keep up with the brushing AND combing. If they do brush their dog, they only manage to brush the ends. If you don't get down to the skin and brush & comb to the ends of the hair shafts, then the fur gets knotted & then matted. There is no magic that takes out matts! There are a few that keep their long-haired dogs the way they are meant to be & are responsible with their pet's grooming, but they seem to be few & far between. ^_^
